Discover cross stitch and embroidery in our creative and relaxing beginner’s class. In this workshop you will learn the basic and essential stitches of cross stitch and chain stitch, how to stitch a basic border pattern and how to add beading and ribbon flowers. You will create a small stitch sampler to keep as reference. Different cross stitch materials and tools will be introduced in class, and you will be taught how to read a cross stitch pattern and create your own design.
Spend the second class creating your own original piece of an alphabet initial incorporated with patterns and embroidery. All tools and materials will be supplied for this workshop, you will receive a cross stitch kit valued at RRP$24, including embroidery hoop, aida cloth, threads, embroidery needles and embroidery scissors
About Mohini Kapoor
Mohini started doing cross stitch at the age of ten when she was in school. She is an Embroiderer, Artist, Fashion Designer and also enjoys teaching kids. Recently she has combined cross stitch with ribbon embroidery to create a unique form of art work never seen before. You can find them on her facebook page “Mohini’s Creations”.
